Sleep: Sleep is a basic life function. Sleeping more will give you more energy, reduce pain, improve mood, help you think clearer and more. Get moving during the day and eat a healthy dinner at night to help you sleep better. Try to create a nighttime routine and relax to a better night’s sleep.
According to the CDC and Insufficient Sleep is a Public Healthy Problem, 40% of the population sleeps less than the recommended 7-9 hours per night (high schoolers need 10 hours). Sleeping more has several benefits including: happier, build muscle easier, learn better, safer driver, less likely to develop type 2 diabetes, better moods and fewer chances of depression, healthier skin, you’ll make fewer risky financial decisions, easier to speak well, fewer headaches, perform better at work, and less likely to catch a cold and develop certain cancers (Business Insider: Why Sleep Is Important).
